Ive been thinking about and following publishing and public performance since I first started to learn about publishing and music back in the mid 90s Ultimately most venues pay for the ability to have music publicly performed and provide entertainment to patrons, NOW that money gets divided up in a NON exact system cause no one really know whos music is played where, except for a random sampling which creates a list of whats popular then divides up that money. With the already popular artists benefitting. This system was not designed with hundreds of clubs and DJs in mind. Its an old system. This box claims to be able to track what is played and forward the data on to the societies... To me it should be the societies who develop this box and deal with it, but if pioneer wants to then fine. Either way it helps level the playing field and distribute the money that is already being paid into the public performance pot more evenly. Not some evil Big Brother We Know What You Play sort of thing... Anyway... DISCUSS >>>>>>>>
