Artlinks Executive Director, Deb Washler will be leaving Artlink at the end of July. Below is a letter sent to the Artlink membership this morning. Dear Artlink Members: Today I would like to say thank you! Thank you for the opportunity to lead Artlink for nine wonderful years while getting to know all of you. This Friday I will enjoy the opening reception of my 10th Members’ Show since becoming the Executive Director in July 2005. At the end of July, I will be leaving Artlink to begin a new chapter in my career. I will be joining the Lincoln Financial Foundation as the Program Officer for Fort Wayne, IN and Omaha, NE. You will still see me at opening receptions but as a member and supporter of Artlink, just as you are. I cannot tell you how much I’ve enjoyed being a part of Artlink’s journey. It has been wonderful watching artists’ work develop over the years, and I’ve enjoyed chatting with you all while you’ve visited the gallery. A special thank you to Artlink’s staff who are like a second family to me. The hard work of Beckie, Tina, Suzanne and Diane cannot go unnoticed. Artlink has an amazing Board, Artist Panel, committees and volunteers who are crucial to its success. I have made many friends in the past 9 years, and I thank you all for your support and friendship. I hope the next Executive Director will do even bigger and better things than I have. So, I bid you all goodbye as the Executive Director of Artlink and say hello as a fellow Artlink Member.
