As 3 more lucky babies start their journey today from Romania to us in the UK we bring you the story of the very special Willie. Romania is a dangerous place for dogs, who face hunger, thirst, cruelty, torture and certain death every day. Willie was more vulnerable than most - he had constant tics causing his whole body to spasm regularly and a useless front leg - we think all of this was a legacy from distemper. Lucky Willie was saved by our friends in Romania and he has recently undergone an operation to remove his damaged leg, which has also helped with his tics. Although Willie still has spasms, these cause him no pain and he is learning to live as a tri pawed pup. He is such a happy boy who adores attention and just wants a forever home of his own.
