As Christians, we live in between time. Christ has come and rescued us. We have become engaged to Him. We have a taste of what it’s like to live with Him. We have peace, we have joy, and we have life. But the life we have here is not all He has for us. He has also promised that He will come back to us, and we will live together with Him forever. But in the between time, we live this life on earth. We know Him. We love Him. We are committed to Him. But we are also waiting for Him to come and bring the fullness of His love to us. Listen to how the Bible describes this in Ephesians 1:7-8, 13-14: “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are Gods possession - to the praise of his glory.”
