As I have mentioned in previous posts I am struggling to get enough calories in my body. Especially since I eat clean and only get carbs from fruits and vegetables. Also I am so scared of going back to my over eating and binge eating tendencies that I do the total opposite. When I say enough cals I am talking about the minimum amout needed 1200 (I have days that I dont reach 500). And I cycle and lift daily. I know this does more harm than good. My body has gone on survival mode and instead of losing weight I started gaining. I also feel week and tired and started getting dizzy whenever I would get up or sit down too fast. So two weeks ago, After extended research on the net and asking any and all professional, I decided to start doing 2 things. First I started to do carb recycling in which I would eat complex carbs (and sometimes just yummy and missed carbs like a piece of delicious Belgium white chocolate praline) every 4th day. Second I started drinking Whey protein after my workouts. Results so far are that I feel more energized (except on days I eat carbs. On those days I go through energy rush and crash), I have less muscle aches DOMS dont last more than a day, I am able to lift heavier and best of all I lost 3kg (6.6lbs). I still get dizzy and I am working on getting more cals in my body. Some days are good and some not so much. Its a learning process in which I have to learn to trust myself that I will not to fall back on old habbits at the drop of a pin. I have been going through a tough few days personally and have been feeling very much alone. So instead of my usual binge I avoided food like the plague because I didnt trust myself to make the right choice. I have to learn to beleive in myself a bit more and if I fall it is not the end of the world. Wishing you all a healthy happy Saturday.
