As I look back over the 25 years that have passed since the Army Acquisition Corps was created, the only constant I notice is change: new organizations, shifting missions, different leaders. And in the face of all that change, the acquisition workforce has thrived. Weve integrated a rigorous system of education, training, assignments and promotions to create a highly skilled, technically proficient group that delivers world-class products to our Soldiers. The anniversary website at asc.army.mil/web/aac25/ is replete with examples. Its an elite group, and Im proud to be a part of it. But theres more work ahead, and were committed to assessing best practices and lessons learned to ensure that we continue to provide our workforce with the right skills and capabilities to handle our acquisition mission. Heres to the next 25.
