As I lye boiling on this Turkish sun lounger, I cant help but indulge in a few moments of quiet reflection on this poignant day. Im watching my beautiful daughter Ella make friends with other kids in the pool,enjoying and playing and thinking I havent done half bad at all. Shes without doubt thee most important thing in my life,and seeing her happy and healthy is by far my proudest achievement. As frank Sinatra once sang Ive loved,Ive laughed and cried Ive had my share,my share of loosing rings true but without doubt Ive had a lot to be thankful for in my last 40 years. And indeed I also did it my way. ;) So today the day I thought would never come has finally arrived. Its the drawing of the curtain to the fab first half of my life,and now with immense self satisfaction I genuinely look forward to the second half,knowing that my best days are in front of me. So thanks to all my friends and family whove wished my happy birthday,its much appreciated x. Now Im heading the bar for a birthday shandy and il toast to life! A good life. Cheers guys ;)
