As I saw the lenses zooming in on me, I remember that very moment just before I was about to hit this pose I told myself this is everything youve worked for Dre - seize this moment - so I did. You know, now looking back at this picture - I realise that a man can achieve whatever it is he wants to achieve if he trains his mind likewise and leads his body accordingly. I remember being back stage with all the other guys waiting nervously after our posing, everybody wondering if they did enough? I kept saying to myself what if? What if? What if? May times. And so heard - no.42 then no.55 then there was a pause (felt like the world stopped for a second) and no.56!!! It was me, my no.! I couldnt believe it, I was like fuuuarrrkkkkk man they were mirin - me and the other 2 guys exchanged words of encouragement with the other competitors and went back on stage for our awards... But no, I wasnt buzzing only because I placed - I was happy because I knew deep down and I mean deep, deep down, I knew within myself I gave everything and that they wasnt a single little thing left I couldve done. All the early mornings and late nights sessions, the mental focus needed, the emotional instability, all the pain, all the fell outs, the heart breaks, the sweat, the discipline, I knew I went through it all. And knowing that all my friends and family were there to support me in that moment - was humbly and I thank them again for that but id just the start. But by far my greatest satisfaction was when celebrating with all my friends and family a little 9 year old girl approached me and asked to take photos with me because she loved me on stage and thought I look great . Strangers shouting my no. When I was on stage. And a young lad coming and talking to me and telling me how Ive inspired him to do it next year... Thank you everyone and God bless yous all.
