As I sit here this morning I look back at the last 12 days I spent at my Moms house helping her & my sister Linda recuperate from hip replacement surgery I see so clearly how our plans in life change! Mom has gone from being able to take care of things at home to now we are going to be helping her make a HUGE transition in life to Independent living in Wauseon leaving a home she has lived in for most of her living days on this earth ! A farm that has been in the Meeker family for yrs. Mom, Lynn & I spent days of reliving so many GREAT & Not so GREAT memories of helping farm doing chores, having parties while our parents told us NO when they were away! Having so many family & friends come stay with us. Dad hiding easter eggs & baskets for all of us,grandkids& great grandkids,so many holidays we spent together! It surely was BITTERSWEET to spend those days together with many laughs,tears, taking a stroll down memory lane! Very soon we will be saying good-bye to a place we always called HOME no matter where we lived at the time! Keep Mom in your prayers as this will be difficult for her & all of us as she makes this much needed move. Also Lynn is back home & doing very well, I tell her 1 day at a time & the end result will be so much better that hobbling around in pain! Sam will be having another knee replacement in Oct. & we are coming up on 1yr. of Dads transition to Heaven! We have been a BLESSED family & will continue to feel be with Gods help! We never know what each new day will bring, but just have Faith it will see you through every time! :) God Bless Patty Schuch Staples
