As I sit here this morning and reflect on what today is... Its all the men and women who are serving and have served and sacrificed their lives for us, so we can have freedom. Its all the men and women who have slept on hard cots while we sleep in warm soft beds. Its all the men and women who have missed the firsts of their kids while we get to witness all our kids firsts. Its all the men and women who have gone without good meals at times while we have 3 meals a day and access to whatever we want when we want. Its all the men and women who have gone without comforts of home while we have everything we want. Its all the men and women who bravely went to the battlefield and fought while we stayed safe. Its all the men and women who left their families and friends and everything they knew to go fight for our freedom... To go where it isnt comfortable and not familiar. You were and are brave for doing what you did and are doing. Its all the men and women who chose to fight for our freedom. My thanks to you all and your families arent adequate, but thank you for fighting so we can have freedom. But lets not forgot the spouses and family members who are left here at home to keep things running smoothly and their kids who dont have a mommy and daddy. They bravely kept the homefront running smoothly and they too need to be thanked. Thank you, just doesnt seem adequate, but thank you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13 ESV) my enemies trample on me all day long, for many attack me proudly. When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? (Psalm 56:2-4 ESV)
