As I sit here with our friend Michael still on my mind, I still cant hardly believe it. I think Michael was very proud today to have so many people there to say their goodbyes. Not that these kind of services are any fun, but I will say that the service today could not have been anymore perfect for Michael. I want to say how proud it makes me to hear the family say such nice things about my step-dad, Pastor Jack Mumford. He did an outstanding job with the message and honoring Michael. The piano playing by my mom, Mary Ann Mumford was beautiful and the choir did a great job. I loved Willy Burns speech. What a fine job he did of telling us how he saw Michael and the way he lifted us up telling us the stories about Michael. I thank God for helping me get through the words I shared about Michael as well. At least I got back to my seat without falling down after getting lost behind the flowers. LOL! There couldnt have been a more fitting group of gentlemen that loved Michael as much as I did to be the pole bearers. I hate that I missed the mustang burn out between services. Munden Funeral did an outstanding job as always and the wonderful ladies of the Otway Christian Church did a fine job with feeding the family and friends after the services. The part that I thought was so perfect and made me feel peacefullness for Michael was when they played Michael Rowed The Boat Ashore.. And then the icing on the cake so to speak was Michaels brother Marks tribute song to Michael - AC/DCs For Those About to Rock as we carried him out. I think Michael was happy with everything done today to honor him in such a way as we all did today.
