As I sit in my VERY LAST law school class, I cant help but - TopicsExpress

As I sit in my VERY LAST law school class, I cant help but question if it is real. I have DREAMed of this moment for so long, I cant believe it is finally here. This is a bittersweet moment for me as law school took a lot from me but I also gained a lot through this experience. Law school showed me that there are many angels out there willing to help you without expecting anything in return. It is because of those angels that I am here today. The angels that have been in my life since I was born, my family, thank you for being there throughout this whole struggle, continuously pushing me to keep my head-up and push forward, and praying for me when everything else failed. Those angels who were there to listen to me when I thought the whole world was turning on me. Those angels who encouraged me to applied to scholarships regardless of my status as they believed I was just a worthy to receive it as anyone else. Those angels who invited me to lunch/dinner when they knew I didnt have the money to pay for food. Those angels who texted me with encouraging quotes every day when I was depressed. Those angels who listened to me and let me cry out of desperation and in the end convinced me everything would work out because it had to work out. Those angels who simply checked-in on me from time to time to make sure I was ok. Those angels who fought for me when I was to weak to fight for myself. Those angels who donated to help me pay for my education. Those angels that through their actions, set an exampled for me to follow. Those angels who spoke on my behalf and stood up right next to me when I decided to fight for my right to a legal education. And finally, those angels who with a smile encouraged me to continue reminded me that this was bigger than me and that I was helping pave the way for other Latinas. Thank you! It is because of all of you that I am here today, attending my very last law school class. I can only say I will never forget each and every one of you. I promise to continue to DREAM throughout my career as an immigrant rights advocates because life has taught me that DREAMS do come true. WE DID IT! :)
