As I sit in this ICU with my old man, nearly 2am, I cant help but reflect on this man, my father, my hero. He instilled an unflinching bravery within me from a young age, honor, dignity, respect & love its always been a sword & shield for me. Now as his health & courage fail him, its left to me to summon all that hes taught me. What the near future holds neither of us know, but well face it together. My old man & I . . . scared but not alone . . . tired but not beaten . . . theres still much road yet to travel . . . walk with me Pop, stick close . . . Ill lead the way this time
