As I told a reporter on the morning after our arrests, We don’t believe we were lawfully arrested. Fifteen months later, its nice to learn that the courts--and now, grudgingly, the district attorney--agree. Thanks to Commish Dorosin for making time to represent us, even when it meant adding to his already weighty commitments. And thanks to the 900+ North Carolinians who helped inspire a multi-issue, multiracial movement for justice. I feel proud to be a small part of it. The work continues. Finally, thanks to Brother Jeff, who got me out of jail. Everyone should have such a friend!
