As I was heading home from CR tonight talking with God as I usally do after CR, He was reminding me of the amazing miracles that He is revealing in my life and to the people around me. Ive seen lives turned from hopelessness and certain death transformed and completely healed by His loving mercy and grace. I have seen, heard and experienced things that have only one explanation. Then as He often does, He speaks to me through specific songs on the radio that always apply to the moment. For those of you that have never heard me speak like this, the following song that He played first will answer some questions. Jason Gray - I Am New: youtu.be/-w6YG2NZguc As Im feeling consumed by His presence and revelations this is the next song that plays... Big Daddy Weave - Overwhelmed : youtu.be/YtXwX4Gt1Pc The message that He keeps reminding me is that the greatest miracles and display of His power and grace are not healing the blind or raising the dead. The greatest miracles are changed lives. I am a real living example of this. Doctors have told me on multiple occasions that its a miracle that I lived through my past hospital visits seizures and coma which were results of my lost lifestyle. What they dont know is that the real miracle is what God has done to my heart. He has shown Himself to me in a way that is undeniable. The purpose of life and the reason that He has not taken me home yet has now been revealed to me. It is to share my story of being grasped the grip of evil, utter dispair and destruction. And then being rescued forgiven and reborn. All that I do and have has always belonged to Him. It has taken me having to endure a journey of bondage and hell on earth to realize that. Now I freely surrender to Him what always belonged to Him. This purpose is best explained in this following excerpts: The greatest miracle of Jesus is not raising someone from the dead, because if a man comes to life and his world is a bad world, he doesn’t need to live. The greatest miracle of Jesus is not to see or to hear, because if we see and hear hatred and evil and sin, we don’t want to see. We don’t want to hear. THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF JESUS IS THAT HE WANTS TO CHANGE OUR LIVES. He wants to take hatred and make peace and love. He wants to take anger and selfishness and make gentleness and self-sacrifice. The greatest miracles of Jesus are when He changes our lives from the inside… because we don’t need to see if there is only evil. We don’t need to hear if there is only hatred and anger and gossip. The greatest gift and the greatest miracle of Jesus IS that He wants to save us to be like Him in personality. “When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results: immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except you, drunkenness and other kinds of sin. Let me tell you again as I have before that anyone living this sort of life will not inherit the kingdom of God. They cannot inherit the kingdom of God. “But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, He will produce this kind of fruit in us: love and joy, peace and patience, kindness and goodness, faithfulness (ever true), gentleness, self-control. “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to His cross and crucified them there. If we are living now by the Holy Spirit, let us follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited or irritate one another or be jealous of one another” (Galatians 5). “The grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed by God to turn away from godless living and turn away from sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with self-control, with right conduct, with devotion to God while we look forward to the wonderful event when the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ will be revealed. He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us and make us His very own people, totally committed to doing what is right” (Titus 2). “We too once were foolish and disobedient. We were misled by others and became slaves to many wicked desires and evil pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy. We hated others, and they hated us. But then God our Savior showed us His kindness and love. He delivered us, not because of good things that we did, but He delivered us from sin because of His mercy. He washed away our sins and He also gave us a new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out His Spirit upon us, not because we were good, but because of what Jesus Christ our Savior did. He declared us ‘not guilty’ because of His great kindness. And now we know that we will inherit eternal life” (Titus 3).
