As Im getting ready to leave Brazil tomorrow I have such mixed emotions. It was without a doubt the best experience of my life and I have grown so much; despite the food not agreeing with my allergies, a hospital visit and having to cut my trip 2 weeks short... I loved getting to know Eugenio s friends and family and experiencing his vibrant culture, I now have a second family and a second home in Brazil, OBRIGADA! Leaving Eug will be extremely sad for both of us but I am blessed to have this amazing man in my life and 5 months is a small price to pay in the big picture. We are so lucky to have such incredible friends and family who have supported us so much and made this crazy adventure possible. I am so grateful to have gotten the chance to travel around Brazil this summer and to be coming home to my favourite place on earth! I love you so much Eugenio and I will see you in December and I love you too momma ( Peggy Whelan Chafe ) and papa ( Roger Chafe ) see you soon ( have a pot of my famous chilli waiting for me!) . Tchau for now Brazil, I hope to see you again real soon and whadda ya at Newfoundland, friends, you need to keep me busy for 5 months while my boy is away!
