As Im stopped at the stop sign at 117th and Michigan I see an elderly homeless man sitting at the bus stop with a baby stroller and cart full of his possessions. Normally I lift up a prayer if Im not moved to give but when he looked up from the ground the look in his eyes spoke of humbleness. There was a vulnerability exchanged when our eyes met. I pull off driving... GOD is that YOU?... ...But GOD Imma be late if I go back (thinking to myself, you got a lot of nerves worrying bout being late, you dont say that on them mornings that margarita night slowed you down) ....I only have a $20 and $100...(turning on 115th to go back, glancing at my clock) ...give him the $20? YES, MY CHILD! I JUST BLESSED YOU LAST NIGHT! BLESS HIM! I double take to make sure it was the $20 I pulled out 😳 I made it back around and pulled up to him. I said, Good morning. He said, Good Morning. I said, GOD told me to bless you with this. He got up slowly and limped to the car and said thank you, THANK GOD! I told him to have a good day and he said, you too. (I made a mental note that he was limping, hoping to see him again to refer him for healthcare). I took off to see if I could still make my train. I parked in my spot with two minutes to spare. Walking a cool walk to the door so I wont be the entertainment for the onlookers on the platform looking like the fool running for the train and miss it. Lol I got almost to the door of the train station and didnt have my parking spot number in order to pay. Man, now I KNOW imma miss this train and be late I say, as I slowly head back to get my space number. 42, your number is 42. I make it back and didnt hear or feel the rumble of the train yet. So I pay the parking box and head up the stairs. AS SOON as my foot touched the platform the train was entering the station. YUP, IT WAS GOD! HE delayed the train to wait on me to do HIS WILL, yet we arrived on time! Baaaaaby, WONT HE DO IT!!! (Rhetorical question) THIS I ALREADY KNOW 🙏 THANK YOU, FATHER FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!
