As Thanksgiving approaches, our family has a lot to be thankful for this year. We are thankful for Megans wonderful Oncologists. Without them we would not have a treatment plan for her single stage LCH. She is at the end of her 3rd week on prednisone. Aaron and I stay encouraged that this will work with the lesions starting to diminish. We only pray that during the next 3 weeks they disappear entirely. If that does not happen we revisit treatment options. She definitely has the side effects of being on steroids. Her face is puffy, she eats like a horse, and her attitude is worse. Though we can deal with any side effect if the steroids make these lesions go away. We head to Ann Arbor the day before Thanksgiving for Megans 4 week check-up with the steroids. We will keep in touch!
