As a Christian, seeking and granting forgiveness are not optional. As a Christians, forgiveness is non-negotiable; it is the very essence of our faith. Jesus said that if you do not forgive others, the heavenly Father will not forgive you (Matt. 6:15; Mark 11:25). Forgiveness is a decision/promise to release the offender from the guilt of his sin, to refuse to bring up the offense to use against him, to refuse to think about the offense, to refuse to talk to others about the offense, and to be reconciled to the offender if possible. Asking for and granting forgiveness are not easy tasks, but remember, God forgave you by grace alone. You didn’t deserve anything but His judgment, but He still forgave you out of His great love. And He has forgiven you far more than you can ever forgive anyone else. Please Forgive and let is go. Remain blessed!
