As a Medical student, I get to see very sick patients everyday and sometimes the only option they have is palliation. It makes me realise just how short life is. I just think its important for all of us to live our lives to the fullest. To do what resonates with us. To do what makes us happy. To go all out and achieve what we want to achieve. To stop trying to please society and just do our thing. Are you living your life to the fullest? Are you trying too hard to please people? Are you fulfilling your purpose? I did some deep introspection yesterday and these are some of the questions I asked myself. I have been called stubborn and all sorts of other names. I dont know about that. All I know is that everyday I do what resonates with me. Everyday I work on fulfilling my purpose whether some people are happy about it or not. I know I can never ever please everyone. Dont take that route. Its a perfect recipe for misery. Lets be honest - Some of you are not doing well in life because le tlhabiwa ke ditlhong. Youre trying too hard to please society. Youre not dancing to the music in your heart. Youre not chasing your dreams because someone said its not a good enough dream or someone convinced you that you wont make it. Just shut out all the clutter and listen to your inner voice. What do you want? What do you really really want? JUST GO FOR IT! Is it a smooth journey? Ofcourse not! But its YOUR journey. Do it one step at a time; one day at a time at your own pace and when you fall, just grab your lessons; pick yourself up and keep moving forward; keep pressing forward until you get the results you want. Sending all of you my love and gratitude. Peace and Blessings be with you forever
