As a Worshipper and I know I am according John 4v 23 I often wonder why many Christians believe that singing a few well known, inspiring and catchy songs is worship.I have heard great voices and seen great choirs performing but the truth to be told they are far from the heart of worship. Brethren worship is a lifestyle and has to come from knowing who you are and who your God is, it is relational, meaning we must have our own personal relationship with God. How can we offer true worship, and please note I said true worship, to God and we have unforgiveness, bitterness and hatred and serious jealousy in our hearts. Many do not like other members of the Body, others are living a lifestyle of sin and double standards. Musicians who are a key part of worship can only play but never worship and many pastors and leaders who are leading churches but cannot demonstrate worship. Can we come back to the heart of worship where it is all about Jesus and not about ourselves? Everyone seems to have a great time in church on Sundays as the music and the so-called worship led by people who wear clothes that reveal body parts that distract people from entering into worship and attitudes that need to be dealt with at the altar of sacrifice, and personal lives that are far from being a true Worshippers. But still we call that a good time in church today, it is like a drug addict getting their fix for the day that will not last for the week to come.. That is a tragedy but we have the power to change that concept every time we enter in His presence to praise and worship. One day I will publish the revelation God gave me on Are you a true Worshipper? Read and decide for yourself. It is the acid test for true worshippers. Watch this space and follow me for more. Remember God looks at hearts not only on faces and smiles and He also hears our inner thoughts and not only the smooth melodic voices. Let us be honest and real and ask ourselves this question, how much of our worship is personal and private and locked in with God? Shalom.
