“As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him; for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear Him….” (Psalm 103:13-17a). Our days on this earth are numbered; we may live to be 100 but our life here will eventually end. In a relatively short period of time, no one on earth will even remember us. But there is a forever that comes next. For those who fear God…for those who believe what God says- that faith in Jesus is the one and only way to heaven- there is a never-ending paradise awaiting at the end of this life. Those saved by the blood of Jesus will never cease to experience the love of God for all of eternity.
