As a first follow up to my cover photo, here is the newly sworn-in Minden City Council of 1926 in front of the new Fire Station/City Hall. Significant for a couple of reasons, the first council elected after Minden became a city and because of the Mayor. Men are (a couple of possible misnamed) from left: J. Ronald Murph, W. T. Burnett, "boy" Mayor Robert F. Kennon (at 23 then the youngest mayor in the United States), W. R. Garrison, Will Life and S. H. McCrary. The second is a picture of Minden city officials in front of the building between 1936 and 1940. My only positive identification in this picture is Mayor David Thomas, 2nd from the left.
