As a kid in high school, I had very wide tastes in music, from classical, to jazz and acid rock. But one genre that I absolutely loved then and still do today is big band. And I was really a fan of Buddy Rich, who billed himself as the greatest drummer in the world. And he certainly was. I thank my parents who twice (I believe, twice) took me over to a supper club in Lebanon, Pennsylvania (cant remember the name anymore) to see Buddy Rich and his band play live. And I remember distinctly him playing the drum solo featured in this video. It was one of his signature songs that was featured on a number of his albums (you remember albums, dont you? LOL). He certainly was the greatest drummer of all time.
