As a leader- I believe we should own our mistakes as well as our triumphs. I do not like making mistakes. I want to do every thing just right - perfectly. But I make my fair share of mistakes and I try to admit to them. In taking accountability for our mistakes we are leaving ourselves open to learn from them. In allowing our teams to see our humble sides instead of having superior attitudes- I feel that we are teaching them that it is okay to make mistakes- it is okay to stumble as long as we admit to it- get back up and keep on going until we reach our goals/successes. And in doing so we are leaving room for continous growth and development- not just in our team, but in ourselves. Just a thought. Hope it makes sense.
