As a long-time resident of Hillsboro, a taxpayer and home owner, and a retiree looking for a place to walk or ride a bike, might I suggest that the city looks into providing a greenway or bike path for its citizens’ use. Every town surrounding us seems to have done this. Look at Wilmington, for example: ci.wilmington.oh.us/trails.cfm Even Greenfield has the beginnings of a bike path-greenway that will one day connect to the trail which goes to Chillicothe. I understand the mayor has been given an anonymous donation to use at his discretion. May I suggest that he use this money for such a project rather than to enhance the surroundings of one of his property holdings.
