As a parallel to the Russel Brand interventions, these conversations were really interesting, American bigmouth philosopher Cornell West at Cambs. Hes framing US moral collapse as symptom of the collapse of Empire, but also notes in relation to public philosophy that the comic has a rich tradition... WE cant have democracy without fearless speech... The comic is close to existential angst. < naturally more human and real to me than Politics. You wont catch me calling Brand a cunt for using his voice to call for change.
