As a shelter volunteer for fifteen years, I have been blessed to know so many unwanted, abandoned, mistreated animals who go on to be adopted and have the lives they need and deserve. Each has touched my life in a special way and has inspired me with their amazing ability to love and trust despite what they have been through. Theo is such a dog. Here is his story: THEO has not had an easy life. Several months ago, he was found abandoned, brought to Williamson County Animal Control, and never claimed. Theo was moved to our adoption kennels and quickly found a home. He lived in harmony with another dog for several months, but his owners suddenly decided they did not have time for two dogs and brought Theo back to Animal Control. He was confused and bewildered at being back at the shelter once again. Theo was adopted a second time and was eventually found running at large. His owner did not want Theo back, and we suspect Theo had been neglected and mistreated. Theo is 3 1/2 years old and is a gorgeous black and white Pit Bull. He has a beautiful black and white coat and loves to be petted. Theo is a friendly, energetic dog who loves everyone. He has a happy-go-lucky, sweet and gentle personality and wants to please. Theo is an enthusiastic companion on long walks around the dog park trail. He is housebroken, too. Theo has a great time in the shelter yard, where he loves to run and is learning to play fetch. He is always ready for quality cuddle time, and will sit quietly at your side to be petted. Theo is such a great dog and will be a wonderful part of the family lucky enough to take him home! Despite everything he has been through, Theo remains a sweet, confident, trusting dog. Everyone at the shelter loves Theo and hopes he can finally find his forever family. He inspires us all with his resilience and devotion to those who care for him every day. Sadly, our Pit Bulls are constantly overlooked, and we know from our daily interactions that they are some of the very best dogs at our shelter. They are much loved by the volunteers, and deservedly so. Theo is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, wormed and current on all vaccinations. Please save Theo by crossposting near and far on his behalf and contacting me at kmenzyk@yahoo if you can help. This dear dog deserves a chance for a permanent, loving home! PULL FEE PAID!
