As a woman, I can tell you that here in the U.S. were entirely equal. We have the same rights and laws that men do and were capable of applying to whichever job, whichever school and buying or living however we want. If you want to talk about oppression in the U.S., look at oppression faced by males. Males cannot even TALK about what affects them as a gender without being shamed, especially if theyre straight and white. You might as well be prepared to be shunned and exiled by this society if youre a man and try to discuss anything that hurts you as a gender.
