As all will know, I have been posing in numerous Facebook Groups. People are requesting recipes in comments section. Members will start with recipe pls or may i have the recipe. The next person will have the word F, Follow, /F, . etc. basically meaning they wanted to get the recipe. Initially, I also cant understand and do not like it at all... Subsequently, I give in to the trend and do not really mind such word being used to request a recipe. I know very well if I cant change the trend then follow the trend... I learned to look at the intention behind the word F, since what they want is only recipe...though i have hope that they will be more gracious. I learned to understand that Facebook or Google plus or other social media platform comprises of people from all levels, some are primary, secondary, university or even higher.. Some are rich from a gracious society, some are poor, some are with straight forward character, some are more well rounded in the request. Etc. etc. I told myself if I wanted to survive in the social media, I have to accept this....I cant change the members, i have to follow - rule of survival prevails. My question is: Who know how these terms evolved and how do you view such a way of requesting an answer/following a threads discussion? Note that i have seen that in other non food related discussion thread that this is used. Again, i have to stressed my stand that I am able to take this now though I hope it can be further improved. It will be fun to know if this prevails in Western world.
