As an investigative newspaper reporter I was well-known for my dig-up-the-truth articles about people and companies that were not so nice to consumers. Well, Allstate, Im coming after you. Allstate has been investigated by CNN, USA Today and Prime Time, to name a few. We live in Ohio and were going to be talking with an attorney in Columbus, Anthony Castelli. Allstate is trying to screw us on our vehicles, which were totaled in our own driveway by a drunk driver who missed a stop sign and plowed into our yard. The agent told us no, we didnt need an attorney. But after the adjuster came out yesterday, we decided today yes we are getting an attorney. Its the principle of the thing. Were not asking for a ton of money, just honest compensation, not some low-ball offer that doesnt even cover one car, let alone both cars. Oh, the whole thing has inspired me to use my talents as an investigative newspaper reporter to do a freelance article for the Toledo Blade.
