As defined, sustainability addresses three things: people, planet, profits. The people piece runs reaaallll deep, is arguably the most important component and is unfortunately the piece that is neglected or flat out sacrificed frequently by global corporate initiatives for their economic gain, thus breaking a fundamental rule of sustainability. One small component of the people is public health and issues like fluoridated municipal water. The chemical used to add fluoride to drinking water is fluorosilicic acid, a byproduct of phosphate fertilizer manufacturing process. If you know anything, youd know that the debate about the worlds food supply is hot and heavy on many levels. Due to unsustainable farming practices fertilizers are in huge demand, creating a ton of byproducts dont you suppose? How else to get rid of all this flourosilicic acid (other than the production of aluminum) than to feed it to the public under false claims of dental health!?!? Brilliant! Get educated and take action because the government is not in the business of sustainability and will never do it for you. ~via Michigreen Farm #wakeupchicago #MichigreenFarm #sustainability #cityofchicago fluoridefreeillinois.org/
