As frightening as it is to have a potential case of Ebola practically in my back yard, more important is the ache in my heart. Put yourself in the shoes of a person who has to make that call to KU Med, admitting symptoms of this dreadful, killing disease. You are whisked into isolation, surrounded by shrouds. If it is Ebola, you will never see a human being sans protective gear again in your life. If it is Ebola, you watch your life drain away before your very eyes. If it is Ebola, any spread of the disease in that location will be on you. My heart goes out to any person in any place who contracts this horrible, deadly disease.
