As has been pointed out before, a certificated CCW holder, - TopicsExpress

As has been pointed out before, a certificated CCW holder, carrying concealed, poses a known, insignificant risk to any commercial establishment by virtue of the vetting process required to obtain the permit. That cannot be said of any other person entering that establishment. All other persons present a far-greater risk to that establishment because their background, their history of violent behavior, and their probable mental state is unknown, as is the presence (or lack of it) of a gun on their person. For that reason, businesses who prohibit licensed concealed carry have it exactly backwards. It is poor risk assessment on their part, though, I suspect, their motivation is more liability-driven than anything having to to do with a fear of guns. If I shoot a bad guy, he or his family will sue not only me, but the business where the shooting took place. The business has the deeper pockets.
