As human beings, we seek meaning and purpose...all of us want our live to count. I go back to this song periodically. People have commented on it to me as they notice friends or acquaintances doing things that are driven from their personal search for significance...it is why nearly all of us do so many of the things we do... I dont think so much to be vain, but so as not to have the feeling or fear of living a wasted life. I dont think anything is every wasted...nature uses and re-uses everything...AND our lives count...
