As many of you have heard, The American Cancer Society, in collaboration with The Ohio University, Obleness Memorial Hospital, and Nelsonville-York Schools is bringing a national cancer study, Cancer Prevention Study 3 (CPS3), to Athens in October and we need your help to spread the word to reach our goal of 200 enrollees. You must be between the ages of 30-65 and never have had cancer. In 1964, CPS1 showed the link between smoking and early death. In 1996, CPS2 linked secondhand smoke and increased mortality and now with CPS3, we are looking for the link between lifestyles and environmental factors and the prevention of cancer. We will be having an informational "kick-off" on August 14th and I have attached the invitation for your convenience.
