As members of Boise Valley POW/MIA, each year we do something special for the Veterans residing at the Idaho State Veterans Home (ISVH). This year it’s “Music For Vets”. What is Music for Vets? It’s music on (I-Pods) for our Heroes at the (ISVH). Each I-Pod is loaded with their favorite type of music. The music takes them from being unresponsive, depressed and almost un-alive, and awakens them! They immediately light up with “their” music. They become animated, more communicative, and some who have high anxiety issues are able to get off their anxiety meds. Presently there are 167 Vets residing at the ISVH. We want everyone of them to have this gift of music. How are we doing this? Through a fund raiser called “Vet-A-Thon”. Write a Tax Deductable check to “Boise Valley POW/MIA Corp”, with “Music for Vets” on the memo line . Send it to me, and I will collect and deliver the donations at the event.
