As most of you know Nancy lost her dog, Foxy last week. Mark has written songs about all our dogs and Nancy asked Mark to write one about Foxy. He was having a hard time with it so he wrote this poem instead: FOXY I know he’s up there waiting Beyond those soft white clouds He’s runnin’ around and playin’ hard ‘Cause he’s not hurting now His care is in those gentle hands Safe from worldly harm And he’s found the greatest comfort Cradled in our Savior’s arms Those tears you shed in sorrow now Will one day be replaced By tears of joy and happiness When again you see his face With eyes that say I love you true I’m still your loyal friend We’ll always be together now We’ll never part again Should come the day when God decides To give you your angel wings You’ll leave behind all cares and woes For the peace that Heaven brings Until that time I hope you’ll hear These words meant just for you “Our God that loves you oh so much Loves your Foxy too”.
