As my birthday is less than 1 hour away, I have been thinking of all the people that have been asking me what Im doing or what I want. Through my reflection, there is nothing in particular I want to do or any tangible item I want just because its my birthday. Ive got my family minus one solider (my dad). Ive got a car in the garage that I can drive wherever I want. Ive got a roof over my head and furniture to sit on. Ive got a job where Im my own boss doing what I want to do. My dad used to say on every birthday and holiday in his William Robinson voice its a miracle! Were all still together! Hes right! We are still together dad. Our family is maintaining and honoring your deepest wishes. We can always have a fancier car, the latest and greatest smart TV, bigger apartment, house, or condo, make more money, etc. But ultimately, LOVE is really what we need. Though I can ask for gifts or a turnt up night for my birthday, its not necessary because I already have all that I need. Tonight I took an opportunity to write each one of my immediate family a short letter communicating how dear they are to me and that I love them. Unfortunately, I cannot send my dad a letter but I can speak to him before I go to bed tonight in prayer. So on my birthday, I just want to say thank everyone in advance for all the birthday wishes, thoughts, prayers, and love. I am deeply appreciative to everyone taking time out of their day to extend wishes my way. Thank you!
