As my dear friend and mentor says with regularity on his new radio show, Weekly Magazine, its time to turn the page...dear friends passing, others so close like Steve Quail...the bumps and obstacles of life. Which brings such sorrow and lament ~ along with such deep hurt. As June ends with such bitter portions of life, a new day has begun. Is that another song? On July 3, 2014 my one and only daughter returns with her family to the USA. Im ecstatic.... And on July 7th my son Jon will assume his new duties at Ecklin AFB in Fort Walton Beach, FL. For the 1st time since 1993 when Beth married and became part of the US Army, all my children will be in The USA.... Jamie will soon leave for Haiti with his wife on a mission of life to build homes for the multitudes of Haitian storm and political chaos victims. These are my heroes and I hope these comments are not interpreted as a boast or brag As the song goes, Your A Grand Old Flag. There never is a boast or brag from those who have served or serve now. They do it for love of country. And yet so many abuse what they protect and abuse the liberties they fight and die for. We can scream, yell, protest and worse, withdraw. 15-25 % Voter turnouts!? When Immigration reform is passed well be out voted in the next Presidential Election. Wake up folks...its later than we think. We owe more to are kids and to our legacy...the Baby Boomers. The flag bearers of the Great Generation. Lulled into decades of indifference and selfishness. Wake up. Speak up....be wrong! But for Gods sake, say something or do something. Before its too late and we give what so many worked and died for to the Global World our worthless political leaders have committed too. We need a leader that cares and is selfless. I dont see one holding an office anywhere. Where is Mr. Clean when you need him. Yup...time to turn the page...just saying. Bostko Casey ♥♥
