As of midnight tonight I will be observing a Facebook Memorial Day of Silence out of respect for Veterans who have paid their lives because of their humanitarian missions. I am proud to have reconnected with fellow atomic debris cleanup veterans who participated in the 1977-1980 Enewetak Atoll Cleanup Mission in the Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Many of those veterans have health complications due to their radiation exposure during the cleanup.
