As of the 1st of September you will be required to slow to 25kph when emergency vehicles are stationary with red and blue lights on. This is potentially quite concerning, while we accept emergency workers have the rights to a safe work place, forcing traffic to a crawl will cause unnecessary traffic bunching and will congest areas around accident zones more than what is currently seen. As per normal, we can only speculate that the motives around this decision are based solely on the purpose of revenue raising.
