As of this coming Thursday Sharon and I will have been married 54 years. Pic 1# We first kissed about 58 years ago and still do almost daily. I tell her daily that I love her and she does me as well and because we love spending time together we still have a dinner date once a week. (mostly on Fridays). God how I have loved her. She has been such a wonderful wife to me over all these years. Shes the greatest mother to our now grown children and the best Grandmother and Great Grandmother anyone could ask for. We have worked, played, laughed, cryed and prayed together side by side for so many years. She has always been there for me and is such a part of my life I would be completely lost with her. Pic 2# We have walked hand in hand through life now for many years. Because we are getting older we know that we have more days behind us than we have ahead of us. Like all older couples we dont have any idea what the future holds for us; but because we both have taken the time to invite Jesus Christ into our lives as our Lord and saviour, we know who holds our future. As an older Christian couple our pathway may seem a little dark and uncertain today (as the picture protrays) but as we continue on together, from day to day, serving and loving our Lord He will never leave us in darkness. Jesus has promised He will not leave us or forsake us and it is in Him we have placed our trust. All we ask is on Thursday if you happen to think of us, say a prayer for us. Pray that whatever comes our way that our love for each other and our love for God thorugh the person of Jesus Christ will always stay strong and see us through until the day we see Jesus face to face.
