As of today, August 2nd, 2014, ISIS has officially appeared northeast of Lebanon, where Al Nusra Islamist militias have already taken base somewhat under cover, till today, when (along with tens of ISIS fighters) they retaliated to the arrest of one local leader who has vowed allegiance to ISIS. They attacked an internal security post and held several men hostage in return for the release of their allied leader. Ersal has entirely been taken hostage by those hoodlums, in an incident that has been described as the most dangerous to take place against Lebanon and its army and security forces, who are now cracking down on those rogues, in what seems to be a beginning of a serious and long standoff.
