As per the new Law….. Paul Tiesten and the likes deserves Death Penalty/Life Imprisonment! The O’Niell/Dion Government has Amended section 597 of the Criminal Code Act recently and they must enforce now if they are serous. The enforcement of death penalties should be on such prominent public servants and Politicians like Paul Tienten for stealing from the people of PNG. He has misappropriated K10million while been the National Planning Minister. The 9 years imprisonment with hard labor given by the Judge is not enough. Therefore, He deserves a death penalty or 50 years of Imprisonment. The following statements below at the laws that was presented to National Parliament by Attorney General, Honorable Kerega Kua. “…….As for stealing of monies between K5 million and K9.99 million, the maximum penalty is 50 years without remission and parole while for stealing K10 million or more, the maximum penalty is life imprisonment without parole or remission. Misappropriation worth K10 million or above now carries a maximum of life imprisonment. Parliament also amended section 597 of the Criminal Code Act, which allows for a number of modes of execution. These include hanging by the neck, administration of anesthetics followed by lethal injection, medical death through anesthetic administration and deprivation of oxygen, death by a firing squad and electrification. The method of execution will be determined by the Head of State acting on advice from the National Executive Council…….” The National: Wednesday, May 29, 2013 People of PNG, if this laws are not applied to such persons like Paul Tienten has misappropriated k10 million and given 9years…Government is not for the the ordinary people of PNG. The death penalty laws is there to protect politicians and am sure it will only applied to ordinary citizens. PNGans must watch out and abide by every laws in the country as the laws will be applied to us. Our leaders are good at making Laws and Policies but lack Implementation.
