More settlers from the North pile in and now claim that their rights are being violated and that they want to succeed from the Government and start their own nation. The Government sends troops to quell the armed uprising. The North sends in troops disguised as civilians to support the uprising, claiming to protect their former citizens. And armed revolt ends with succession of the province, which soon proclaims it wants to be annexed by its northern neighbor. The now independent nation is annexed by its northern neighbor and the world powers do nothing. Im not talking about Crimea and the Russians. The year is 1836, and the province of Mexico is Texas. The northern neighbor is the United States.
