As some may know I have been searching for a church home since we moved a couple of years ago. It has been a little challenging as most of the churches we went to were very nice but not exactly it for us. I have been praying for several weeks very diligently that we find our fit in 2015. Last weekend we went to two churches in an all hands on deck search. The last one was Johns Creek United Methodist Church. We went to a service that was a bit unusual for them as they were mourning the loss of a close friend and loved one of the church. The service was a class act and showed the kindness and love of the church and its people. I was very moved. We were welcomed with open arms and invited to a luncheon afterwards where we were again welcomed so nicely. We went again today.. again with the same prayers of finding our home. I had posted the song below 3 days ago speaking of one of my former choir directors and my love of him and this song. Today this song was song by the choir and I knew Dan was saying this is the place... I heard the twilight music in my head a bit and definetely got the goose bumps as I received the message loud and clear. I cried a few tears for my friend Dan as I heard him singing this song. Message received Dan. Message received. And then the message from the pulpit was about God and water... well you all know that I am a water baby myself and the Pastor seemed to be speaking so clearly to me it was again a bit Twilighty. Message received God. Message received. I do believe I am home. Nancy Sharpe Strawbridge, John Strawbridge, WilliamStrawbridge, I just wanted to let you know that your husband/dad is still around and remembered with warmth and love. He left behind a legacy and he sends messages too. January 8th: One of my favorites... Makes me think of one of the best choir directors ever... Dan Strawbridge. He had us sing it in the good ole Covington United Methodist Church. It was beautiful. He is missed.
