As someone who has been wrestling for over a decade, I have to - TopicsExpress

As someone who has been wrestling for over a decade, I have to take special issue with 8.3.8.1 A and B, listed below. 8.3.8.1. The rules forbidding specific types of fouls do not apply to the snitch runner except for the following: A. The snitch runner must not make contact with a seeker’s head, neck, or groin. B. The snitch runner must not make contact with a seeker’s legs below the knee. This outlaws a large number of safe, effective, and proven wrestling moves and techniques that have stood the test of time for the past several thousand years. These techniques and methods include, but are not limited to, the shoulder-collar tie, the ankle pick, the low single leg, the leg sweep, the snap-down, the front headlock, ANY deadlock, the claw grip, the half nelson, the inside trip, the outside trip, the forehead to forehead tie, and the ear to ear tie, as well as numerous others. ALL of these are safe to use, and ALL of them have now been eliminated. I would also like to point out that snitches who grab and (sometimes intentionally) tear jerseys are still allowed to do so.
