As the congratulatory messages, tweet and posts flood our social media, I wonder how is it, that, we dont know our own real heroes, till they get global recognition? And isnt that a colossal shame. Honestly, I confess, till yesterday, I had no idea of who Kailash Satyarthi was or even what his contribution was that made the Nobel Committee folks sit-up! Nope. I could not even pull out a small fragment of a memory or recall. Kaali slate, totally. ...the folks I asked had no clue either. Malala. Of course. Satyarthi .. ummm...well. I suspect not many of us may have heard of him either. Ironic that it took some folks in Sweden to highlight his work, in our own backyards, to us ! Why so, I wonder? Why indeed !
