As the election approaches I realise I must finally have entered La La Land. We will have the highest incomes in the world by 2030, cancer will have been cured a third of us will be living to a hundred. New antibiotics are on the way, Stem cell advances will enable quadriplegics to walk, No child will leave primary school in a state of illiteracy. etc etc. This is all wonderful,but why do I have this wet sensation all down my back. After the election of course the BBC will be back to putting the frighteners on. Disasters due to Ebola, Sars, Tsunami, Fracking, Asteroid impact, Antibiotics becoming ineffective, financial meltdown, supervolcano eruptions etc etc etc. will be expected on an almost daily basis. I am greatly encouraged by the fact that Clegg is willing to enter a Coalition with any political party. This at least makes the lib dem policy crystal clear in a sentence it boils down to. Ill do anything to keep my ministerial car!
